Shane stretched and unsheathed his claws, yawning quietly as his fangs protruded from the darkness of his mouth. He circled anxiously, bored with his life and worried about his father and siblings. His younger siblings had been born in an unusually large litter, and his mother had died of heart failure in the effort of bearing them. Now he was alone. Not afraid, just alone, and needing something to steal his attention away from the pained yowls in the back of his head.

Sunny padded by, making his lonley patrols. He saw the cat pacing. He narrowed his eyes. Sunny did not like to corespond with cats theat were less intelligent then him, but it always happened due to certain unavoidable circomstances.

"Good day, sir," Shane called out in a friendly manner. He did not know what horrible things the cat was thinking, so he did not hiss or unsheath his claws. "I've heard you were the kit sitter of the west for Mei and Pyro. I am under their rule as well," he smiled. "I'm Shane, by the way. Mei thinks I might..." he stopped, about to say become duke, but he didn't want to shove it in the other cat's face, and just said instead, "worthy of a position like yours."

Sunny looked at the cat. He wondered how this cat, if having heard he was a kit sitter, had not heard about his dislike of other cats. If he had only heard that, he might have been less willing to talk with Sunny, which was the way Sunny liked it. He sighed. He looked at the cat again. He did not have anything to do, but he loathed getting into disgussions with cats less intelligent than himself. It was always inevitable for him.
