The ebony she-cat padded along the area. Her dark eyes scanned the lands around her, keeping watch. Her whiskers brushed the grass around her. Her nose twitched as a foreign scent reached her nose. She was a loner. She had no family and no group. She needed a home. She stopped and lay down, the ground warm under her delicate paws. She sighed and her breath appeared in the early morning air. She retracted her claws and started to wash her face.

Dragon tiptoed up behind the black cat, whom he had been following at a distance for awhile now. He decided it was time to make his presence known, and walked up behind her. ''Boo..." He said softly in her ear, quickly backing up, in case of an attack. He expected that she would at least turn around. He sat patiently, a small smile on his face, ready for a conversation.

She spun quickly unleashing her claws. But as she saw it was another cat, a handsome tom to be exact, she smiled. " 'Lo there. I be shadow, but most call me shady." She thingyed her head and looked him over. She had to admit that he was a handsome tom, but she was not one to be won over easily.

Dragon grinned. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you... I think." He smiled. "I am Dragon, King of the Eastern Territory. Pleased to meet you, Shady" He didn't much else to say. He thought for a moment then added, "What are you doing in the Eastern Territories?" Dragon thought he already knew the answer, but he was only guessing. Where were all the male cats? It was against the law for male cats to join the Eastern territories, was it? Dragon sighed inwardly and flicked his ear. Oh well, anyone was welcome.

Dragon was not aware that he had sighed loud enough for her to hear. "Oh, nothing's wrong, its just your the third female to join, And I'm the only male. I don't think it should really matter, but it bothers me a bit. I've been in a situation like this before. It was not pretty. The females were always fighting... But, anyway, welcome to the Eastern Territories, make yourself at home." Dragon smiled st her.

She smiled. "Well trust me that I avoid fights as much as I can." She said sincerely.

"Yes, the Eastern Territory cats are supposed to be wise, so I hope that there will be no unesseccary fights." Dragon replied vaguely, staring of into the distance. He nodded. "Well, make yourself at home, I'm afraid I have to go for now. If you need me, just call my name!" He said, and began to walk back the way he had come, occasionally stopping to make a scent marker.

She smiled as she watched the tom walk. "He'll be an interesting one. Watch him." She said to herself.
