Sharp daggers protruded from soft flesh. A long pink tounge lay flat in between the vicious gate, panting slightly. The huntress's ears perked as she took in scents using the glands on the roof of her mouth. Crouched low to the ground, the female carefully took samples of scents from the nearest tree. She was contented at her first find: a wise male leader. She would be happy with that, and her intelligence could assist this clan to make it even stronger. Digging deeper with her senses, she picked up another..a female! She hissed quietly to herself. She hated the mentality of females. For a mysterious reason, she held a grudge against them. She snorted, overthinking if she should try these ones. Coming to the conclusion that there was only one femme, and no more, she stayed put in the darkness, which provided her with comfort and security.
Ardra; as the cat was named, had traveled everywhere within the range of cats, searching for a proper family, a home where she could be accepted for who she was. The she-cat was getting tired of traveling everywhere, and her hope was faded. She flicked her tail from side to side, deep in thought, as her intense liquid golden eyes started out intently from the shadows of a bramble bush. She would not have to wait for long, oh no. Soon the leader would show himself.
The only sounds audible were the monotonous chirping of a sparrow and the palpable silence of the prey, waiting in their dens for the danger of a predator to pass. Soon, Ardra thought. Soon.

OOC: Sorry, been away for the weekend. *shudder* no electricity...
IC:
Dragon came crashing into the clearing, not expecting to find the cat so soon. He looked back to check if Rain had kept up, then returned his attention to she-cat, knowing he would have already made a bad impression as a leader from his entrance, but he pretended that he had meant to do it. "Evening, Ma'am. Haven't you before. I am Dragon, King of the Eastern territory, and this is Rain. Who might you be?"
Dragon hoped that Rain wouldn't mind him introducing her. It was the first thing that had come to mind, introducing them. He still did not know Rain particularly well and did not know what would make her angry. Next time he would think before saying anything. Then again, it might seem rude if he did not introduce Rain also, and she might think he was forgetting her. Why was everything so complicated now that he was King? He then realised that it would have been hard for past Kings too... He returned his attention to the she-cat.

The she-cat gave a bow and spoke. "Same to you, m'lord. I am Ardra, distinguished loner," she said. As she had traveled, she had helped a lot of felines with their tasks and conflicts. She was known quite well thoughout the loner's grapevine, but she didn't expect a noble clan leader to know how she was.
She looked around for the femme the leader referred to, but caught sight of no one. Forgetting about it, she continued. "I have come to ask permission to join your clan, and I offer to you my intelligence and agility." She said, and submitted. Ardra rose and flicked her tail, awaiting his response.
She could tell that something was bothering this male...perhaps the duties of being a leader? Yes, that seemed about right. She tried to keep her mind from straying to think it had something to do to with her, but she was so accustomed to traveling on her own that she didn't talk to many other cats.

/OOC: Sorry I haven't replied, my posts would have sucked anyway\
Dragon looked over his shoulder for Rain, but did not find her there. Slightly puzzled he looked back at Ardra. "Er... She was there a minute ago..." Shaking his head he looked back at Ardra, his usual polite, cheerful self. "Pleased to meet you Ardra, I'm sure you'll be a great addition to the Eastern Territory!" Dragon smiled at her. He wondered where the male felines were! He answered his own question. Probably off with the North or South doing some 'manly' fighting. Hah! More like getting themselves killed for no reason. As you probably gathered from that, Dragon was quite against the fighting that was going on. However, he was willing to do anything to protect his 'loyal subjects', if you will, even if it meant joining up with the South and/or West. The South were wise in the ways of war. Together the three territories would be unstoppable, although it would take a whole lot of trouble to force the three 'good' terras into an alliance. Pulling himself back to reality, he watched a bird land, and idly dropping into a hunter's crouch before he remembered he was having a conversation. He quickly straightened up again and turned back to Ardra, smiling innocently and hoping she hadn't noticed.

Ardra returned his smile, and laughed as he began to hunt, yet stopped mid-way. "It's alright," she said kindly. "Instincts are always with us." She bowed her head at his compliment, and looked around for this 'Rain' that he kept mentioning. "I'm sure I'll meet her soon enough," she said reassuringly.
She looked at him as if to say, 'you can go catch that finch,' and looked down. A cold feeling came over her as she said "I hate war," very quietly. It was as if she could read thoughts, but really, she had just been lost in her own thought pattern. She often wondered what drove other cats to fight, over things that could easily be solved with words. It was disgusting.

Dragon blinked gratefully at her and nodded in thanks. In a matter of seconds he had his jaws around the poor little birdie and was wondering what to do with it. "Wert schum?" He grunted through the bird. He blinked and dropped the bird, gasping for air. "I mean, 'Want some?'" He pushed the bird to Ardra's feet. Dragon did not happen to hear Ardra's mutterings, but if he had, he would have agreed whole-heartedly. It was a waste of lives.

Ardra looked at him thankfully, and pulled a small leg from the finch, and began to eat. When she finished, she gave him an appreciative nuzzle. "Thank you," she said with a smile. After she was finished, she turned away from Dragon and looked at the sky. She sun was beginning to shrink in the distance, and the orange sky painted her black pelt pink.
She gazed at the first stars starting to appear in the sky, and the moon, becoming more and more vibrant. A long stretch of stars began to appear, and shone more clearly than any of the other lone stars. To many, this was known as the constellation of the souls of cats who had died. A clan which looked down upon all the other clans. However, Ardra did not believe in such a clan. She believed in the concept of reincarnation, when your soul was constantly placed into different beings. You might be a cat in one life, and a mouse in another. This would keep accuring until you lead a perfect life. A life of pure innocence. Ardra turned back to her leader, the moonlight shining in her eyes.

Dragon smiled at her, trying to guess what she was thinking. She seemed happy in her new home. He too looked up at the sky. He had always wondered what the stars were made of, and how they got up there. Once he had heard a story, in which the stars were made of millions tiny winged and glowing animals that slept bunched together for warmth in cold and airless place called 'space'. Space sounded alot like water to him.
Dragon looked back at Ardra, who had stop looking at the sky. He felt alittle awkward. Was it possible that Ardra that Ardra had feelings for him? When he had been with Rain, a small voice had said, 'She likes you...' The voice was talking to him now. He wondered if it was right. Did they both like him? He hoped not. The voice had stayed quiet when he was with Shady. He was glad of that. He never could tell what females were thinking, he could only guess. And most of the time he hoped his guesses were wrong.

Ardra followed his gaze, though she already knew what he was looking at. The sky, like she was. She let him marvel at it for a while, then spoke. "Amazing, isn't it?" She asked, her gleaming gaze resting on his. "That something so simple, so common, is so diverse every day," she said, flicking her tail to and fro. "Clouds are like pawprints; they're never the same. Sunrises and sunsets are so metaphorical, and execute at different times and in different ways. Our whole existance revolves around the sky," Ardra finished, her voice thick with wisdom.
Ardra felt the warmth of the sun die on her back and the night engul her black coat, making her look like a pair of intense floating eyes. In fact, she had spooked many in such a way, by traveling at night, when she melted into the darkness and was noticed by none, unless you knew she was there. It was a great advantage, and she used this gift well.

Dragon blinked confusedly at her words at first, repeating them in his mind a few times before realising what they might. He smiled at hios own stupidity. "Poetic..." He said simply. He did not have anything wise to say in response. He was awed by her immense wisdom, and for a second wondered if she might be smarter than him. But he then decided that he would not let her upshow him. "Superior vocabulary does not make a superior cat..." He said simply, knowing she would not be very impressed. "But, it does come in handy." He said, an amused glint in his eye.

She gave him a playful smirk. "I never think of myself as superior amoung any cat," she said firmly. She was slightly affended by his comment, because she was a very modest cat. She never acted superiorly, or thought that she was any better than other cats. She tried to forget it.
"Yes, it does," she admitted. "Especially to trick stupid cats, once in a while," she said, grinning. "You don't know how many times my vocabulary has gotten me out of sticky situations," she sighed. "But hopefully, I won't have to worry about that now that I'm a part of your clan," she said hopefully. She playfully flopped his ear. "I'm not that kind of cat..." she said quietly.

Dragon had not meant in any way to offend her. "Of course your not that kind of cat!" He said quickly and sincerely. He didn't want to hurt her feelings or anything. "And, tricking stupid cats is exactly what I meant... 'Bit funny, seeing them try to figure out what you just said. But sometimes its better to make up words and see if they play along." Dragon chuckled, amused at the thought. He did not seem to notice her flop his ear. Finally he stopped laughing and sighed happily, still thinking about in the back of his mind. The amused look on his face seemed permanent. But finally he took a deep breath and looked for something to distract him before he broke down again.
OOC: Hey, do you go on The K-9 Domain? And if you do, are you Peike?

OOC: It depends on who's asking. Just kidding. I do play Peike, and I have a sneaking suspicion that you roleplay as Skyler/Roxi, right? I recognized your roleplaying style!
BIC: She gave a sigh of relief. She was glad that he didn't think of her that way...yet she didn't know why she cared so much of what he thought. Maybe it was just because he was her leader, and she wanted to please him. Alas, Ardra dropped the thought and dismissed it as nothing.
She laughed lightly at his joke. "Yes, it is amusing," she admitted, but felt her belly start to rumble. "Do you mind if I quickly get something to eat?" She asked politely. "I am yearning for dinner," she flicked her tail back and forth, and went into a hunter's crouch.

OOC: Wrong! Trisk and Ten... Neither have met Peike. I found out 'cuase in Peike's sig it says 'Intelligence Beyond Compare'... lol Dragon smiled. "Not at all." He watched her as she went to hunt. He looked around for something to do while she was busy. He walked over to a tree and began sharpening his claws on the bark. After a minute though, he stopped and paced boredly in a tight circle. OOC: Not a very good post...
